Thank you for that Jennifer. I too often feel guilt for having “bad” days and feeling lost, anxious, or any of those “negative” feelings. What your friend said about living the “full human experience” reminds me of Dr. John Kabat Zinn’s book, “Full Catastrophe Living.” Being human is embracing all of it, like you said, right now.

I have the same thing with Burton. I liked Wonka fine, but I didn’t find it necessary or better than the original – though I was blissfully thankful for the Elfman songs. Loved Ed Wood, Nightmare Before Christmas, Corpse Bride and, actually, Sleep Hollow … though I am often left wanting by many of his films … as if he is so wrapped up in the style that he forgot the substance.

I love this topic! In the 8 short months my DD has been around, we’ve needed to nurse in Alaska, Utah, Montana, Idaho and Colorado. I am *always* nervous that someone will confront me, mostly because I tend to respond to invasions of my privacy with extreme hostility. I am so encouraged by your civil and “get-things-done” response. I only just discovered that I am an “attachment parent”. I didn’t know there was a phrase for what I am, and how I raise my DD, and I’m so excited to read about (and meet) other people who believe the way I do! I’m looking forward to learning how to respectfully and confidently enlighten people who have outdated ideas.
