About

My name is Jennifer Hill. I earned my B.F.A in Writing, Literature and Publishing from Emerson College in Boston, MA where I served as an editorial assistant in poetry for Ploughshares literary magazine. I’ve worked as a story analyst in Los Angeles for various film companies, and have spent a lot of years as a public relations pro and literary publicist. I once served as the PR Director for the Texas Book Festival, and was on the founding advisory board for Texas Writers Month. I’ve performed live storytelling at Testify, The Living Room and The Story Department in Austin, TX where I work as a freelance writer and content developer. Back in the day, I did some Slam Poetry. I’ve been published in Austin Woman Magazine, Austin Monthly and various blogs. I’ve written two unproduced screenplays, countless poems and stories, and a novel. I’ve taught screenwriting, publicity and social media workshops for SXSW Film Conference, Writers League of Texas, The Writing Barn, Texas Conference for Women, the University of Texas Society for Cinema Studies Conference, and more.

I’m now revising aforementioned novel, and I continue to jot down my thoughts and feelings with wild abandon.
